Minimize the # of Visits for Your Dentures!
Considering the current COVID-19 situation, when starting the journey with new dentures, you can come to our office for 4 full hours, during which we will do your consultation, take the preliminary records/measurements, and do the fitting, lab work, and re-sizing. This will allow us to offer 2-3 appointments instead of 4-5.
Since we have the whole office to ourselves, you can comfortably wait here while enjoying free access to Wi-Fi & chilled water. With a well-equipped on-site laboratory in place, there will be minimal back and forth for you, as we will do the moulding of the prototype and readjustment while you are here.
At Swiss Denture Clinic, we've found that some of our patients don't like traditional dentures because they move or "float" above the lower gums when they become loose. A solution for our Calgary area patients is implant dentures that anchor the denture to the gums and resolve discomfort and chewing problems. Even better, implant dentures come either fixed or removable to fit a variety of needs. With Swiss Denture Clinic, you don't have to wait to get the fit you deserve.
Please note we do not provide single tooth implants.
With no plastic covering the palate, fixed implant dentures feel more like real teeth! You can brush fixed implant dentures like you would brush your natural teeth, although we recommend a Waterpik™ for help with cleaning those hard-to-reach areas. Only a dental professional is able to remove this type of denture, and their immovability comes with a few advantages:
Removable implant dentures have special attachments that snap onto corresponding fasteners on the implants, which helps make it much more comfortable and easier to chew. As with conventional dentures, you take out this removable prosthetic and clean it at night. Keep in mind that these dentures must receive support from the gums. As a result, patients have to schedule periodic realigns for their dentures.

FACTS TO KNOW ABOUT DENTAL IMPLANT RECOVERY PROCESS
A dental implant refers to a titanium post that is surgically positioned into the jawbone when a natural tooth is lost. When healing is complete, the implant functions like a tooth-root and supports the new crown or bridge. At Swiss Denture Clinic, our team looks forward to providing you with the best possible denture solutions.
Recovery from dental implant surgery varies from patient to patient depending on: medical history, the number of teeth affected and the patient's compliance with the dentist’s recommendations during the recovery process. People with healthy gums and strong bones are ideal candidates for dental implants, but where thin or soft bones exist, a bone graft and/or sinus lift can help.
